About the event
Autumn is the season of transition, letting go of what’s not of service to you anymore (such as beliefs, patterns, events, ongoing grief and people) and making space for what is of service. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Autumn is also associated with the grief emotion, the large intestines and lung organs and the metal element.
Metal is the most malleable element as it can be transformed many times over and still maintain its integrity. Life is always transforming; nothing is permanent and constantly moves in cycles. Metal’s ability to remain resilient through many transformations makes it valuable. Humans are cyclical, transforming beings and in order to maintain our integrity and to discover our own value, and the value in others, we need to learn to surrender to life’s natural rhythm.
When metal is out of balance you may experience disconnect from feelings and emotions as well as inability to express yourself, inability to let go, self-criticism, self-judgment, weakened immunity, allergies such as asthma and sinusitis, depression, constipation, colds and flu.
When metal is in balance you may experience the ability to let go of old patterns and beliefs etc and to be open to receiving new inspiration as well as a healthy immune system, connection to your emotions, feelings and awareness of the messages your body is sending you. You may experience a feeling of being back on track and more aligned with your goals. You may also experience brighter colours, clearer sounds, tastes, textures and aromas.
WHAT TO EXPECT
My intention is to create a space that invites courage, vulnerability, connection, sharing and support.
This three hour workshop will guide you on a journey deep within starting with a nourishing grounding meditation followed by a yin practice focusing on your large intestine and lung meridians and a balancing yoga nidra. You will then have the time and space to journal anything that may have come up during the session as well as the chance to share and connect with others in the circle.
No previous experience is needed for this workshop, you are welcome just as you are.
Organic nibbles and herbal teas will be provided.
